      CREATIVE AGE: DANCE AND MOVEMENT
Inspired by exhibition Dreams Unreal: The Genesis of the Psychedelic Rock Poster. Taught by Adrian Moore Trask and Sadie Gelb, Keshet Center for the Arts
      Workshop fee: $80

Keshet's Dance and Movement Workshop will explore the themes, music, and art included in the Dreams Unreal exhibition at the Albuquerque Museum, providing a fun and meaningful way for older adults to connect with the art and each other. Participants will learn concepts and tools of contemporary dance improvisation and performance, exploring elements of body, space, time, effort/energy, and relationship.

The Albuquerque Museum's Dreams Unreal exhibition— formal elements and imagery of the psychedelic posters, the emotion of the music, and the ideas and historical context provided in the exhibition text—will serve as inspiration for movement invention, creative exploration, discussion, and connection. Work(s) will be collaboratively created, rehearsed, polished, and made ready for a unique performance experience within the museum gallery.

Instructor Adrian Moore Trask is Director of Business Advancement and Teaching Faculty (Fine Wine Dance) at Keshet since 2016. She has implemented projects that incorporate performance, fine arts, and history with American Dance Legacy Initiative, Everett: Company, Stage and School, the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, Merce Cunningham Dance Company, Y-Space (Hong Kong), the National Museum of American History, and Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. Moore Trask says, “with a personal mission to connect community through the arts and humanities, I’m very grateful to be part of this inspiring, creative community.”

Instructor Sadie Gelb is on the Teaching Faculty at Keshet. Originally from Indiana, Gelb has experience teaching dance in both studio and therapy settings. She has brought her dance experience to her previous positions as Behavior Technician at an Applied Behavior Analysis Autism Clinic; teacher at Live Laugh Dance, a summer camp for young adults with Down syndrome; student teacher in a variety of Special Education classrooms; and dance teacher for ages 5-15 at Academy of Performing Arts.

      Cost: $80. Registration is required.
